This Site

Building upon the CSS I learned to customize the initial iteration of my blog on WordPress, I wanted to familiarize myself with Bootstrap and its uses, so I made this personal website.

After learning Hugo for my blog, I applied that knowledge to updating this site, to make adding projects and other items in the future even easier and more organized.

Baker's Calculator

Trying to learn more about website building and JavaScript, I created a baker’s calculator in React. The project does simple calculations to figure out baker’s percentages and scaling when given any recipe.

My Blog

Part cooking, part research, part writing: the blog was a place that combined many of my interests. This site was initially created in Wordpress when I had no web design experience. I later learned how to use the static site generator, Hugo, to make building and adding to the blog even easier.

I no longer post recipe updates, as I’ve found food blogging isn’t really my thing, but i’m still proud of the work I put in to creating it, and I enjoy comparing my progress as I move on to newer projects.
